Struggling to find things to write on tumblr so gonna start doing reviews for random sh*t.

So I finally got round to playing Darksiders after hearing a lot of good things about it.

Alright is the best way I could describe this game.. it’s a blend of Zelda and God of War which shouldn’t be a bad thing at all, but because of its similarities it lacks that special something that would make it stand out. Its not innovative and doesn’t do anything that hasn’t been done before therefore fails to have its own identity. On the other hand by “paying homage” to those great games Darksiders succeeds in taking the best gameplay elements of both games and meshing it into a disc. The art style was interesting taking a more light hearted colourful approach instead of the routine black, brown and greys seen more commonly in this generation of gaming, it works well enough and isn’t distracting. Overall I invested about 10 hours into the game before finishing it, nothing great but not a bad attempt either. 7/10

After hearing about Steve Jobs death you realise just how easy it is to forget how fragile life is. He was a truly inspirational figure who turned technology into magic. For one man to lead an industry the way he did was simply awesome and cannot be commended enough. He blessed this planet with his presence and insight which will continue to live within the tech industry for the rest of time. RIP Steve Jobs.
